Female Strong Raises $30K to Support Program Expansion

After many months of meeting virtually, Female Strong put on its first in-person fundraiser of the year hosted by their Young Professional’s Board to get friends together and raise money for the expansion of the program.

“We have gone from serving 20 girls just a few years ago, to 150 through the pandemic, and now we are on track to serve 300 this year!” said Co-Founder Emily Smith. “It is a privilege to be able to do the work and I am humbled that our mission is resonating with so many.”

The need for young female entrepreneurs continues to grow – and so does Female Strong. Over 200 joined together and raised $30,000 to help serve the current girls of the program and the many more in the years to follow. During the event, three trips were raffled off to attendees, sending the winners to Antigua, Panama, and St. Lucia.

“Female Strong is made possible by the generous support of the individuals here in our community,” said Charitable Giving Associate and young professionals board member, Maxine Rosen. “We had such an incredible time at this year’s summer FUNdraiser, and can’t wait to plan the next one”.

With Female Strong, girls are building skills and confidence to thrive in business and life – and the only way to for that to happen is through the support of everyone involved. Thank you to the sponsors for making the event possible and helping create the future female leaders of tomorrow.
