The Challenge
Point of Sale Remarketing Group (POSRG) has evolved from a small local supplier of used, point of sale equipment into an international powerhouse providing high caliber fully certified, refurbished materials to more than 3,000 organizations in every major vertical global market. The firm asked us to create a real estate solution that would accommodate its rapid expansion.
The Solution
To accommodate POSRG’s sustained growth, we identified suitable alternatives and approached POSRG’s property owner to explore a potential sale opportunity. Now, knowing about POSRG’s long-term growth, coupled with the eventual disposition of the property, ownership was able to provide additional space in increments over a four-year period. We negotiated build-out allowances and rental abatement, enabling POSRG to absorb the expansion cost.
The Outcome
The solution we tailored for POSRG enabled it to grow at a steady pace without concerns about running out of space. Our negotiations led to expansion flexibility, with built-in construction allowances and the option to purchase the facility at lease expiration. Further, our solution eliminated the costs associated with relocation and enabled POSRG to remain focused on its core business.
