The Challenge
Johnson Lambert provides financial audits, tax compliance, information technology consulting, and advisory services to a diverse client base. In order to recruit and retain new talent, Johnson Lambert was looking for a new office a vibrant downtown location – one that offered convenient access to Metra commuter train lines and attractive amenities.
The Solution
We started by analyzing where the firm’s employees lived, using those zip codes to zero in on three markets. That enabled us to recommend an optimal new location within walking distance of the Metra and set in a dynamic neighborhood among restaurants, cafes, and shops. We facilitated Johnson Lambert’s office transition and redesign to create a work environment aligned with the firm’s business goals and cultural needs.
The Outcome
We negotiated a long-term and flexible rental agreement with excellent terms for the client. The lease included 12 months of free rent and a generous tenant improvement allowance, giving Johnson Lambert the time and resources it needed to complete its build out. We also introduced Johnson Lambert to design firm Ware Malcomb who managed the layout and design of the firm’s creative and collaborative spaces.
